Education

Lane Education is certified by the California Department of Education as a non-public school and is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). We provide educational services to girls placed within our residential program. Students either have an Individualized Education Plan (I.E.P) identifying their need for special education or may be placed in the school by their educational right’s holder for assessment purposes. The goal of Lane Education is to mainstream each student back into public school or a less restrictive educational environment.

Our educational services are provided during an extended school year by certified special education instructors and teacher’s aides. Each classroom has a low student to staff ratio in order to provide support to each student. The academic curriculum is based upon the San Juan Unified School District standards. Lane Education coordinates I.E.P. meetings with each student’s school district to ensure that the student’s educational goals and objectives are updated and accurate. In addition, a School Psychologist and a Speech and Language therapist provide services, assessments, and recommendations to the educational team for comprehensive services.
