Residential Counselor Positions
Resident Counselor (RC) participates in supervised activities; works with other staff to follow defined treatment plans; assists children in or performs housekeeping chores and cooking; accompanies and supervises children on various outings as well as medical, dental, and professional appointments; assists with homework assignments and instructs children on self-maintenance and life skills.
Overnight Residential Counselor (OVNTRC) work involves direct supervision and safety of adolescent/teenage girls identified as Emotionally Disturbed (ED) living in a therapeutic residential care environment. An OVNTRC is expected to provide care, supervision, observation, and protection of clients; follow defined treatment plans; perform housekeeping chores, meal preparation, and occasional cooking; complete various logs and reports; perform minor first aid when necessary.

Applicants must be able to establish good boundaries with the clients, be an authority figure, set limits, follow scheduled activities, follow directions, have good writing skills, be a team player, redirect behavior, and be familiar with behavior modification.
Possible Shifts
- Sunday-Wednesday (Swing) Hours (40hrs/week) Sunday 8am to 10pm, Monday to Wednesday 2/3pm to 10/11pm
- Thursday -Saturday (Swing) Hours (32hrs/week) Thursday & Friday 2/3pm to 10/11pm, Saturday 8am to 10pm
- Monday-Thursday (Overnight) Hours (40hrs/week) Monday-Thursday 10:30pm to 8:30am, **
- Friday-Sunday (Overnight) Hours (30hrs/week) Friday-Saturday 10:00pm to 8:00am, Sunday 10:30am to 8:30am **
- On-call (based on your availability- very flexible) can work shifts listed above
NOTE: MANDATORY STAFF MEETING: Tues or Wed 2:15pm to 4:15pm depending on assigned facility.
** Only overnight staff members shifts are able to bring in homework to their shifts
